This place suits me perfectly, providing everything I need, excellent wi-fi, 24-hour reception, a cozy bar area, and in-room breakfast. I remember the staff's kindness helping my elderly parents during our first stay. Highly recommend!

It was just a commendable fit for a short stay in Derby with attractive and competitive value for money. The breakfast was individually cooked to our requirements, which was a nice touch. Consider asking for a room in the main building in winter to stay warmer.

The room was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, making our stay comfy and enjoyable. We loved relaxing in the beautiful gardens and sipping tea on the terrace. Just a heads-up, they couldn't provide lunch on Sundays, so plan ahead! 😊

the location is great with beautiful gardens and a scenic view over the valley. the breakfast was fantastic, with good options and the staff were really friendly. we loved the historic vibe of the building and the cozy atmosphere. the old tree in the garden is breathtaking and adds to the charm of the place. overall, we had a nice stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
the room was really outdated and in need of a serious revamp. also, our bathroom wasn't very clean, and we found a few stains that were off-putting.

Fantastic stay with awesome food!
We just wrapped up a lovely 2-night getaway. The room was super cozy and the bathroom was spacious—def perfect for relaxing. The food in the restaurant was next level, especially the steak! Just a heads up, though, some cobwebs in the room need a quick fix. it’s a beautiful spot for a chill time!

After a lovely evening event in Belper, we enjoyed some drinks in the cozy lounge, which was a perfect end to the night. The garden area was nice, providing a peaceful spot to unwind alongside the beautiful scenery. Just a heads up, the breakfast could use a bit more variety, but it was still a solid start to our morning! ☕️

Beautiful grounds with well-maintained gardens, a stunning exterior that impresses upon arrival, and spacious rooms for a comfortable stay. The breakfast spread features a wide variety, including hot and cold choices, ensuring plenty of options to kickstart the day.
The overwhelming noise from a function hall made for a restless night, particularly for rooms too close to the action—definitely not ideal for a good night’s sleep. The restaurant had limited availability, leaving me scrambling for lunch options when they were fully booked with no exceptions for hotel guests. I navigated a treacherous car park covered in snow without any grit laid down, sliding perilously close to other vehicles. The bathrooms in certain areas lacked adequate heating, which made for an uncomfortable experience, especially in colder months.

The room was good size, very clean, and had nice decor, but definitely felt a bit outdated. The shower was strong and worked well, which was a plus. The bed was super comfy, perfect for a good night’s sleep after our long day. Noticed some stains on the carpet though, which was a bit of a downer. it had its charm and the courtyard view was a nice touch.
